Hope for Paula

In late October of 2017 we were informed that one of our employees was experiencing a difficult time with her family. After a trip to Singapore Paula Martinez’s brother Richmond Martinez Jr. who goes by Jr. complained of a headache and did not feel well. Shortly after he became faint and passed out. He was taken to the hospital where he was being treated for a stroke, but was later pronounced brain dead.

As the sole provider and breadwinner for her family, Paula did not only have to deal with the emotions of losing her sibling, but also the financial burden of paying for the hospital bills and funeral services.It was at this time that our employees pulled together to raise funds to help Paula and her family. Over the period of a week we were able to raise over $2,000. In hard times like this you can always lean on your HSS family.
