What are the top responsibilities for this position?  
. Rooms patients according to policy and procedures, prepares patient for examination 
2. Records patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner. 
3. Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies. 
4. Respects patient confidentiality at all times and treats patients with courtesy and respect. 
5. Organizes exam and treatment rooms, stock and clean rooms and sterilizes instruments. 
6. Practices standard infection control precautions 
7. Telephone and in-person screening limited to intake and gathering of information without requiring the exercise of judgment based on clinical knowledge 
8. Provide data reporting and tracking on HEDIS Measures 
9. Process referral authorization requests for patients 
10. Performs all other related duties as assigned 
 
Must have qualifications/experience: 
1. High school graduate or GED equivalent 
2. Medical Assistant Certificate 
3. Basic computer literacy required, with intermediate Excel skills 
4. Knowledge of medical terminology required 
5. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations required 
6. 1-2 years of customer service experience 
7. Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding 
 
Type of certification required: Medical Assistant Certification 
 
Shift start & end times: 8:00 to 5:00 pm Monday - Friday 
 
Dress code/scrub color: Plain blue or grey scrubs
